Big Brother-Big Sister day

On Saturday March 24, 2018, the San Francisco Firefighter Veteran's Association hosted a Big Brother Big Sister day at Treasure Island along with the SF Fire reserves. It was a chance for kids from all sorts of neighborhoods to learn about the fire department and experience what it's like to be a firefighter. The kids, along with their big brothers and big sisters, were ran through several drills such as a search and rescue training, and were given demonstrations of what firefighters do at incidents. A great time was had by everybody, and the little brothers and sisters came away with a better understanding of what the San Francisco Fire department does. The event was organized by candidate and future San Francisco Firefighter (we hope) and Navy veteran Anthony Herrera.
