Association member honored at awards banquet

On the evening of June 1, 2018, Cathay Post 384, one of the first Asian-American veteran's posts founded in the United States, held it's 87th annual awards banquet ceremony for first responders. The awards banquet was held at the New Asia Restaurant in Chinatown. The veteran asociation's highest ranking member, assistant division chief Tony Rivera (and US Navy veteran), was honored for his years of service with the fire department and his volunteer service to the community. Awards were also given to San Francisco police officers who also served in the military.
